California Jail Programs Association (CJPA) Conference

Oxnard, CA April 24, 2024 – April 26, 2024

ACCI has been a proud sponsor and supporter of CJPA. Several California county jails and CDCR state prisons currently utilize ACCI’s CBT Lifeskills Courses. Some facilities utilize our eLearning courses through secure computers and tablets, and other facilities use our hard-copy workbooks. Either way, we are providing an essential cognitive-behavioral change program that better prepares incarcerated individuals for reentry.

American Jail Assoication 43rd Conference & Jail Expo

Fort Lauderdale, Florida May 18, 2024 – May 22, 2024

ACCI will be exhibiting and presenting at the American Jail Association 43rd Conference & Jail Expo. We are excited to partner with the Hualapai Tribe located in Peach Springs, AZ to provide a workshop entitled: Programming in Indian Country. This workshop will discuss how staff at the Hualapai Adult Detention Center our integrating and adapting the ACCI program to be more culturally responsive to the incarcerated individuals.

APPA – Indianapolis

APPA 49th Training Institute June 28, 2024 – July 1, 2024

ACCI is a proud corporate sponsor of APPA (American Probation and Parole Association). We will be on hand in the exhibit hall to connect with community corrections professionals and share our latest resources, and courses. We will also provide a workshop in conjunction with Vant4ge, and GEO Reentry Services on the topic of virtual CBT programming.

GEO DRC Implementation Training

Monroe, LA March 25, 2024 – March 25, 2024

The staff at the GEO DRC located in Monroe, LA will be trained on the Lifeskills Link program. They will be equipped to utilize the data from participants’ experience in taking a CBT eLearning course and drawing upon that during individual case management meetings to assist the participant in developing pro-social cognitive and behavioral skills.

US Probation – Northern District of Ohio

Virtual Lifeskills Link Training March 12, 2024 – March 12, 2024

The US Probation District of Northern Ohio is streamlining the process and flow of providing CBT programming for federal probationers on community supervision. This training will introduce the role of Admin Manager on the Lifeskills Link platform. For new USPO’s this training will connect the dots from the PCRA 2.0 risk assessment to effective case management strategies to utilizing the STARR approach to implementing evidence-based programming.

Marin County Probation

Lifeskills Link Training March 5, 2024 – March 5, 2024

ACCI will be on-site in San Rafael, CA to provide training and onboarding to the adult Probation Officers in Marin County Probation. The Lifeskills Link program will provide essential CBT programming to probationers who are on home detention and to those who are transitioning from jail to the community.  The Lifeskills Link platform will allow each probation officer to hold their probationer accountable and address dynamic criminogenic risk factors.

Crawford County Jail (Kansas)

Lifeskills Link eLearning Program March 4, 2024 – March 4, 2024

The Crawford County Jail is utilizing a secure and monitored computer lab to better prepare incarcerated individuals for release. The Lifeskills Link platform will be accessible to the inmate population at various intervals throughout the day. This training will provide technical training as well as CBT Programming training for the staff involved in education, programming, and reentry.

US Probation – Western, TX (El Paso Office)

Lifeskills Link Training (Virtual) February 22, 2024 – February 22, 2024

The Western Texas District of Federal Probation has requested that all of the USPO’s in the El Paso office receive training on the Lifeskills Link Program. Over 700 US Probation Officers have been trained on the Lifeskills Link Program nationwide. An emphasis will be given to how this program is used in conjunction with the STARR (Staff Training Aimed at Reducing Rearrest) approach as well as PCRA 2.0 (Post Conviction Risk Assessment). The training will also demonstrate how the ACCI CBT Lifeskills Courses can be fully translated into Spanish for probationers.

AZ Department of Corrections Rehabilitation & Reentry

Lifeskills Link Training (Virtual) February 15, 2024 – February 15, 2024

ACCI began providing its cognitive-behavioral lifeskills program to ADC Parole starting back in March 2009. During those early years, we published a report that included a 70% completion rate and 10% recidivism rate. We are excited and supportive of ADC’s rebranding and emphasis on the importance of Rehabilitation and Reentry. ACCI will be providing virtual training to all Parole Officers in the state. A special focus will be made on how to use our program in an evidence-based way to address top-tier dynamic criminogenic risk factors such as pro-criminal associates and anti-social cognitions.

Marion Multi-County Jail

License To Reprint Implementation January 25, 2024 – January 25, 2024

In collaboration with ADAMH and Spero Health, ACCI is providing CBT Lifeskills courses that will be utilized with incarcerated learners located at the Marion Multi-County Correctional Center. ADAMH is utilizing grant funding to purchase the program and to contract with Spero Health to provide the staff who are trained in running programs in a correctional setting. The ACCI CBT Lifeskills courses will be used to facilitate each person’s reentry plan.  

Whiteville Correctional Facility (Whiteville, TN) – Implementation Training

In conjunction with Core Civic, the programming staff at Whiteville Correctional Facility will receive virtual training from ACCI to implement its cognitive-behavioral lifeskills courses into their existing reentry and programming framework. Special attention will be given to aligning ACCI’s courses to the dynamic criminogenic risk factors for each incarcerated individual.

Trousdale Turner Correctional Center (Hartsville, TN) – Implementation Training

In conjunction with Core Civic, the programming staff at Trousdale Turner Correctional Center will receive virtual training from ACCI to implement its cognitive-behavioral lifeskills courses into their existing reentry and programming framework. Special attention will be given to aligning ACCI’s courses to the dynamic criminogenic risk factors for each incarcerated individual.

South Central Correctional Center (Clifton, TN) – Implementation Training

In conjunction with Core Civic, the programming staff at South Central Correctional Center will receive virtual training from ACCI to implement its cognitive-behavioral lifeskills courses into their existing reentry and programming framework. Special attention will be given to aligning ACCI’s courses to the dynamic criminogenic risk factors for each incarcerated individual.
